1-1 Teaching Beginners and ABRSM Grade 1-8

Catered to children aged 5 and above, our specialised 1 to 1 teaching allows your child to focus on learning individually, increasing his / her attention span holistically. We only teach the ABRSM syllabus, an exam board based in London providing both practical and theory examinations. Being an established and recognised board, we believe it is a platform that will help your child achieve his / her musical pursuits.

In Music, it covers 4 aspects of learning, namely Technique, Theory, Ear Training, and Sight-reading.

On average, most students will be able to progress to each grade within 1 year. They are encouraged to take each grade every year till they completed all 8 grades. However, this is highly dependable on every learner’s comfort, ability and practise commitment.

1-1 Music Exploration with Scores Provided

Catered to young children aged 3-4, our 1 to 1 teaching enables your child to unlock their musical potential and exposure to instruments such as the bells and xylophone. With our rainbow-noted letter names, your child will be able to pick up simple tunes easily. 

On average, most young children will be able to progress from music exploration within 6 months. Afterwards, they will progress on to beginner’s class for about 1-2 years, before they continue unto Grade 1. However, this is highly dependable on every child’s attentions span and learning styles and capability (Eg. How much are they able to absorb and apply inside and outside of the class)

Our Music Exploration curriculum normally covers the following: 

• Rhythm and Dance
• Bells and Xylophone with guided coloured scores
• Introduction of other instruments (Rhythm sticks, Drums, etc)
• Playing easy to follow songs like Baby Shark and Nursery Rhyme Songs to allow kids to follow the beat, using relevant teaching materials to engage the child.
• Piano Playing with rainbow stickers.

Through this program, students and parents alike will learn:

1. What to expect at this stage of growth and development
2. What elements to include when bringing music and movement to their kids’ learning space
3. Ways to engage kids with different learning styles
4. Teacher’s guidance and/or tips on how young kids could further learn and improve from classes
5. Ways to engage parents and/or caregivers with their kids when they are included in classes (optional)
